2015 - Our 50th year! CF 50th emblem

2015 marked Community First’s 50th anniversary. We have been a dependable source of support to communities in Wiltshire and Swindon since 1965.  For the last fifty years, our extensive networks have involved parish and town councils, village and committees, youth clubs, village shops, community transport groups, link schemes and community leaders across the county.

Community First's official emblem for its 50th anniversary campaign was designed by young Wiltshire carer Jaret Wrintmore. The 12 year-old Corsham School pupil’s design was chosen from more than 20 submitted by other young carers as part of a competition run by the charity.

Following our move to new premises at the end of 2014, the official opening took place on Tuesday 24th February. We were honoured with a visit from out Patron, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall to officially open our new offices and launch our 50th Anniversary celebrations.

50 Trees Planted

50 trees were planted on Saturday 21st February 2015 as part of a Wiltshire Young Carers activity. 16 young carers, aged 13 to 16 planted at least 50 trees within the grounds of the Marlborough Downs Nature Improvement Area, Berwick Bassett.
