Minibus Hire

Community First currently has a minibus and a people carrier available for self-drive hire. For details please see below.

Wheelchair accessible minibus available for self-drive hire. This vehicle can be used for community or private purposes. The minibus has room for the driver and up to 15 other passengers (or 2 wheelchair users + 5 other passengers). The vehicle is available to hire at £35 per half day (up to 4 hrs) or £60 per day (not including fuel). Minimum charge £35.

Community First’s minibus is available from 10am – 2pm weekdays during school term times and all day over most weekends. During school holidays the vehicle is normally also available every weekday. The vehicle can be used for a few hours, all day, for a weekend or even a week's holiday, subject to availability. To drive the minibus you must be over 21 and have held a full, clean car driving licence for at least two years. All drivers will be given training on using the vehicle. Wheelchair accessible people carrier available for self-drive hire. This vehicle is available to disabled individuals and families where one member is disabled. The vehicle is particularly suitable for people who need to travel in their wheelchair. The people carrier has room for the driver and up to three other passengers (including one wheelchair user). The vehicle is available to hire at £15 per half day (up to 4 hrs) or £25 per day & 20p per mile (not including fuel). Minimum charge £15.

Community First’s people carrier is available from 10am – 2pm weekdays during school term times and all day over most weekends. During school holidays the vehicle is normally also available every weekday. The vehicle can be used for a few hours, all day, for a weekend or even a week's holiday, subject to availability.

The vehicle can be used for any social purpose - shopping, visiting, theatre trips, a family get together, days out, holidays - anywhere in mainland Britain.

To drive the vehicle you must be over 21 and have held a full, clean car driving licence for at least two years.

All drivers will be given training on using the vehicle and the safety and wheelchair securing equipment that is supplied with it.
