Youth Action Wiltshire Minibus Appeal
For Youth Action Wiltshire, a minibus is more than just a set of wheels, it’s the vehicle that helps drive adventure, opportunity and friendship for young carers and young people facing challenges in their lives. We are fundraising for a new minibus to support our work with young people, now and in the future.

What we do
Youth Action Wiltshire (YAW) is an award-winning service for young people aged 5-18 years in Wiltshire, with some support offered to young people in Swindon. YAW offers intensive support, mentoring, coaching and skills training, alongside free-to-access day, residential and respite activities for young carers, young victims of crime and other young people facing challenges in their lives. Many of our activities such as camping, adventure sports, crafts and conservation take place in nature or at our dedicated outdoor education centres in Oxenwood and Linkenholt.
In addition to our free programme delivery, we also offer free transport in our 17-seater Youth Action Wiltshire minibus. This helps to make our service more accessible for families who do not have a car or are unable to reach us by public transport. Travelling to activities together also helps young people form a bond and develop friendships with their peers.

Our Minibus Appeal
The ability to provide free transport for young people in our Youth Action Wiltshire minibus is vital for our service delivery. Without it, many of the young people we work with would not be able to access our activities or help and support from our youth workers.
Our minibus has transported hundreds of young people to thousands of activities and is now ready for retirement. We are fundraising for £30,000 towards the cost of a replacement 17-seater minibus for Youth Action Wiltshire.
With your support we aim to purchase a replacement minibus for Youth Action Wiltshire in 2023. Can you help us by making a donation to our minibus appeal this Christmas? We will receive an extra 25p for every £1 donated through Gift Aid and every penny will help us reach our goal.
