Community First celebrates #VillageHallsWeek 2020
Join England’s largest celebration of village halls!
Village Halls Week is a national celebration of village halls, their volunteers and the services they offer communities. Last year #VillageHallsWeek gained substantial traction for village halls including being featured across 16 BBC stations. This year Village Halls Week will run from:
Monday 20th – Sunday 26th January 2020
Community First will be tweeting, sharing and celebrating village halls and community buildings across Wiltshire and Swindon. Below you can find a summary of the activities which are happening across the county during this fantastic celebration of our vital community spaces
Village Halls Week kicks off on Monday 20th January 2020 with an interview on BBC Radio Wiltshire. Village Halls Adviser Helen Akiyama will be live on Marie Lennon’s show at 11.30am, chatting about Village Halls Week and the events that are planned to celebrate throughout the campaign. National Open Day
Saturday 25th January 2020: As part of Village Halls Week, many halls will be holding an open day and some of these open days will be attended by local MPs. We will be sharing photos and information about the open days including a visit from Dr Andrew Murrison, MP to Leigh Park Community Centre which includes activities, groups and a free bouncy castle!
