Volunteer Connect / Simply Connect Platform Update

Community First would like to inform volunteers, partners and local VCSE organisations that the Volunteer Connect / Simply Connect volunteering platform for Wiltshire will be discontinued as of 31st July 2025.

This decision follows a careful review of the platform and future priorities. As a result, we will be reallocating resources to strengthen direct, community-based support for volunteering through our programmes and services.

What you need to know:

• The Volunteer Connect platform will remain operational until 30th July 2025.
• On 31st July 2025, access to the platform will be removed from our website, and it will no longer be available to organisations or volunteers.
• All data associated with organisations—including personal details, organisational information, and volunteering roles—will be permanently deleted by Simply Connect, the platform provider.

Organisations with current or live volunteering roles on the platform are advised to make alternative arrangements for promoting these roles before the closure date.

Alternative Volunteering Support

To support ongoing volunteer recruitment and engagement, organisations are encouraged to use the following alternatives:

• For Wiltshire – Wiltshire Together
• For Swindon – Volunteering Swindon

Community First remains committed to facilitating volunteering across Wiltshire and Swindon and will continue to provide information, guidance, and signposting as appropriate.
